Drawing is a fundamental for designers, makers, architects, or just anyone who loves the visual. Lots of kids like the visuals these days, and this half-day camp is great for new learners and highly skilled kids who want to hone their craft. This will be co-taught by Margaret, our
awesome teacher for the art side of things, and Damien — he’s the guy who can help kids understand how to draw for anything that’s made out of materials you can hold in your hand… whether it’s an iPhone case, a sticker, a laser-cut doo-dad, or a 3D printed version of Herobrine or Creeper. Campers will draw in the Lab, outside in the air, and looking out the window at the amazing NYC skyline view. We’ll provide plenty of good fodder for honing their craft: a classic bowl of fruit, an arm, a foot, and faces of course.
If you’d prefer to have your kid in camp for only half-days for a couple of weeks this camp is ideal. (Note that all of our camps will include a fair amount of drawing time, so, this camp is more for kids that really want to learn how to draw — whether they think they want to be a designer, fashion designer, architect, artist, or an engineer.
This Art and Tech Camp session can be attended for a minimum of 2 weeks, and up to 6 weeks. (We’d recommend this camp for kids who like to draw. And more than 2 or 3 weeks would be for an older camper who is looking to be on a track to become an artist, designer, architect, inventor, or engineer).
