Join us for our NEW! JC FAB Kids Steam Power Boat Workshop (ages 8-12yrs; ages 5 to 8yrs can do part of this workshop and are welcome). Make-a-Boat from our laser cut pattern. (Yes kids will hit the green button on the laser cutter and make it go!). Then kids assemble their boat, and build a simple steam-powered engine powered by a single candle. This is a great workshop where kids can team up and explore different ways to make their watercraft cruise along or fly across the water.

Please note that kids will be using glue, paint, and other messy things in this class. Also… we’ll be racing boats in our test pond, so please bring extra clothes. No one is going swimming, but there will be some splashing and big wake if all goes well.

We’ll provide materials and guidance so that boats can be finished with your own custom design, and reinforced for bathtub trials at home. [Drop-offs are ok for this class with prior arrangements w/JC Fab Lab].
